Renovation and extension of a housing into offices, Seoul

A brick housing very typical of the 80’s in Seoul was converted into small enterprise offices. Two steel frame structure levels have been added to the existing 3 levels. The balconies, built at a time when the property lines were not followed very precisely had to be cut to comply with the urban rules. The addition had to be lightweight, creating a contrast between old and new, while matching the rough shapes of the 80’s style popular architecture.
