Pegasus - International Competition for the Yeongcheon Horsepark
With Loci Anima Architects, JDG Architects, MOZ landscape, ARUP Hong Kong
2016 – Total Area; 399,255㎡
Competition Honorable Mention / 경마장 국제공모
The yeongcheon race track is meant to be a wide flat area, but is situated in a mountain area. We combined these two elements to create a large structure that would include all amenities, hotel, horse stables and parking, in order to leave the landscape unencumbered.

2005 - International Competition
Gross area : 53,000㎡
2005 Best Selection - 2006 Second Stage Entry
The Seoul Performing Arts Center was a proposal to build over island on the Han river, in the center of Seoul, into an Opera and Concert Hall Complex. Our proposal was to create an ambiguous monument; a giant, colorful façade on the north side, a succession of terraced hills on the south. The shape and the mass would seems different from many point of views in the city.

Ameoba - Songdo library
2021 - Competition - Songdo, Incheon, Korea
Site 9427㎡, Net Area 2820㎡
In the artificial, well planned and optimized environment of Songdo, the need for a communal space, open and public is dearly needed. In contrast to the box-like efficiency of the neighboring spaces, the library is a communal space where citizens can gather as much as they access knowledge. The Slime Mold Amoeba (Physarum polycephalum) showed the way for an amorphous efficiency. It smartly reacts to light, food, and nuisances, and modifies its shape according to its environment. Korean traditional architecture gave us a solution for the local climate conditions: deep eaves that provide shade while enjoying natural air circulation. Houses, Allowing the coastal wind to provide natural ventilation while protecting from the sun will drastically reduce the need for air conditioning.
SALIM Women Welfare Center
Competition / 2016
Gross Area; 8873
Space Salim is a complex aiming at protecting disadvantaged women and their families through socialization, welfare and education. It includes a residency, education spaces and a market that will promote women entrepreneurship. Our proposal is organized around large courtyards in relation with the street, to provide an open yet protected space for social interaction, while the rooftop functions as a private park for the users and residents.

Natural Edge - National Bank of Korea Plaza, Seoul
2016 / Open Competition
The plaza is now filled with a heavy sculptural fountain but we want to create a micro park, a refreshed space to take a break in the busy area of myeongdeong. A green cuvette is covered by a light curved mesh that creates a mist. It creates a scenery that absorbs the city lights at night and protects from the heat in the day.
Traditional Arts Center - Insadong, Seoul
2012 - Competition
We propose a new form of organization that would be based on the traditional relation between urban space and traditional performance, rather than the based on the European “Lobby to Theater hall” western arrangement. By placing the stage in the center of the first floor, on street level, we reconnect performers to the urban fabric, as they were originally. The performance hall becomes a big void around which other functions evolve.
Symbiotic Web: Seoul Zoo
2009 - International Competition
National Park in Seoul, Korea
The proposal completely reverses the way a conventional zoo and garden works. A network of pathways and platforms connect different hills. On the ground is a succession of gardens housing animals, plants, or cultural spaces. It creates a continuous geography of activities, rather than the old, segregated structure of zoo, museum, botanical garden, amusement park, with their gated entrances.
